It is particularly appropriate in this age of active, nervous, endless labor. We are living ioo fast. "Ft u light ning," expresses it, (or vtt Ullc by elec tricity, cook by electricity, travel by electricity and so on. Its a hurry, hurry, hurry from the cradle to the grave. T7e crowd too much ) crowd our work, crowd our eating, crowd our pleasure, crowd our sleeping. A " breaking down, ol the nervous sys tem" U the way of expressing the result. It means a depleting of the nerves in duced by prolonged strain f overtaxing of the nervous system; a product of over hurry and bustle. It affects all people In all walks of life. It baffles physicians of all schools. No one knows the horrors of such a condition better than Rev. J, N. Wc Cready, of Elkton, Mich. For years he labored faithfully and well. He was pro gressive and aggressive : a leader among men, a deep thinker and a hard worker. In his zeal, he overworked overtaxed his mental and physical strength. The outlook was dark, with health shat tered and recovery apparently hopeless. Many means for a cure were tried, with out receiving benefit. Finally he took Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People and was restored to health. He says: "In April, 1896, the physicians said I must stop preaching or die. " I had overtaxed myself and was suf fering from a complete breaking down of my nervous system and a persistent stom ach trouble. THE MARKETS. Wall Street Itovlow. New York March 15. The movement of stock prices today was confuted und tho market very puzzling. Decidedly lower quotations for Americans In London caused un unsettled tone ut tho opening. Prices partly responded to tho London Initiative but did not fnll fully to the London parity. A furious buying inoe ment quickly developed which lifted tho levf.l of tho whole market strongly above Inst night's close. The buying was most conspicuous In tho local und Industrial specialties but there was no lack ot strength to the railway list, cither, the demand for the Grangers being especially henvy. Heavy realizing met the advance und wiped out a largo part of It beforo tho first hour had expired. This was the most nctlvo period of tho day's trading. There then ensuttl n slow und laborious recovery which developed higher prices than the first spurt. And yet this sec ond advance nlso was wiped out in prac tically all cases except somo of the spe cialties and the day shows net losses in most of the standard stocks extending to a point or over In some cases. Thus nl most the extreme range of the market was traversed four times during the day. Thero wus very little In tho news to ex plain theso conflicting movements and Wall street opinion of tho political out look was on tho surface less apprehen sive. Total sale3 of stocks were 423,100 shares. Furnished by WILLIAM LINN ALLEN k CO., stock brokers, Mears building, rooms 703-700. Open- High- Low- I los- Ing. est. ect. Ing. Am. Cot. OH 17 17 17 17 Am.
