AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
tho regulation of electric street rail
way companies In tho Borough of Taylor.
Bo It ordained and enacted by the Bur
gess nnd town Council of tho Borough of
Taylor In town Council assembled as fol
lows, to wit:
Section 1. To levy and collect for gen
eral revenue purposes and for the purpose
of further regulating the use of nubile
highways In tho Borough of Taylor by
Street Railway Companies, or their suc
cessors, leasees, or assigns, a license tax
not exceeding twcnty-ilvo dollars ($23) for
each street railway car used nnd operated
over tho said streets and public highways
of the said Borough of Taylor by snld
street railway companies and their suc
cessors, lessees or assigns.
Section 2. It shall bo the duty of tho
Burgess of said borough, upon payment
to him of said license tax for each of said
street railway cars, to Issue a permit good
for ono year from date of Issue, and the
said Burgess shall keep n book wherein
ho shall keep n record of the number and
description of all said street railway cars
together with tho name of tho licensee,
the amount paid for tho llccnso tax, and
tho date thereof.
Section 3. Every corporation or street
railway company, and their successors,
or assigns, offending against tho provi
sions of this ordinance, shall bo required
to pay a fine to the snld borough, not ex
ceeding tho sum of live (3) dollars for
each day tho license feo remnins unpaid,
and said lino shall bo recoverable ns debts
of Uko amount aro by law recoverable.
