Service Conducted In Iho Simpson Methodist KpUcopnl Church. Tho funeral of the late J. Plummer 'Acker occurred yesterday nftcrnoon nnd was attended by a. large concourse of friends. The remains were viewed nt the residence, 422 South Main ave nue, In the morning nnd shortly after 2 o'clock were borne to tho Simpson Methodist church where tho funeral sermpn was preached by the pastor, ltcv. J. 13. Sweet. The sermon was a beautiful and touching effort, coming as It did from one who had been more than simply a pastor to the deceased. Hardly a dry eye was seen os tho , speaker reviewed the honest, manly life of he, who was now still, llev. L. C. Floyd. D. V., a former pastox- of the church, but now of Blnghamton, attended and spoke his last tribute of respect for the dead and words of en couragement for the bereaved family. Several selections were rendered by the church quartette, Messrs. Jones, Abrams, Wrluley and Whitman. The remains reposed In the calm of death ,ln'., a." beautiful oaken casket almost concealed beneath the wreath of fra grant Whines' from many friends. At the close, of the service the remains were borne to tho family plot In For est Hill cemetery and laid at rest. The pallbearers were; Dr. P. F. Struppler, W. W. Davis, W. II. Abel Moore, residing In the rear of Elm street, was badly Injured In tho Dodgo mines on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Moore Is employed ns a laborer and when load ing a car a fall of roof occurred and ho ias caught beneath it. His escape from Instant death was probably due to the fact that largo slab of rock which pinned tno uniortunate man to trie noor was partially supported by the car. Donato Grlbllo was arrested last night for complicity In the shooting of Glovannla Celebertl at "Ltttlo Eng land" Sunday night. He was lodged In the pollco station for a hearing at 4 o'clock this afternoon before Alder man Wright. What occasioned Grlbllo's arrest Is not at hand. The warrant left at the police station couples his namo with that of Gulseppe I.uango, who fired the shot, and the charge Is "malicious ly assaulting Giovanni Celebertl with attempt at murder." Grlbllo is the man who was pro prietor of the house where Celebertl was denied admittance by Luango. Ho was arrested by Constable Bile feldt, of Dunmore. Luango Is still at large. Detective Molr stated yesterday that no trace had been secured of the fugitive but his arrest Is only a matter of time. The West Side hospital attendants on Celebertl reported last night that hi condition Is unchanged. In the death of Mrs. Mary Zcldler, relict of tho late John Heldler, this city loses another of tho early settlers. Sho died at 7.43 o'clock yesterday morning at her rosldence, 210 and 212 Franklin avenue, whero sho was engaged In conducting a bakery. Though seriously 111 but a week, Mrs. Zeldler has been In poor health for several months and her death was duo to pleurisy, aggravated by other ailments. Tho deceased was over C3 years of ago. Sho was born at Rhino Roads, Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, In 1S34, and cams to Plttston with her parents In ISIS. Khe nos married thero In 1S56, and they short ly afterwards removed to Scranton. A bakery and restaurant was opened at 217 Lackawanna avenue. In 18C0 Mr. ,Ze.ldler erected the second building 1n tho Valley IIoueo block.
