Though taken this way, Mr. Richards was equal to the occasion and enter tained his guests royally. Martin Nolan, of West Market street, ruptured a blood vessel yesterday morning. Dr. Sullivan was hurriedly summoned and upon perceiving the na ture of the case realized at once that death would be the result. Everything available to medical aid was put forth to prolong life, but without success, for Mr. Nolan breathed his last at 2.30 o'clock. The deceased was 25 years of age, and was born and reared In this section, xnougn sunenng rrom par tial paralysis for many years, this proved no detriment to his taking part as active member of several societies. Mr. Nolan was a young man well thought of by a large circle of frlendB, who will deeply regret his untimely and distressing death. He was unmarried, and resided with his parents. The members of Marquette council are requested to meet at their rooms this evening at 8 o'clock to make ar rangements to attend the funeral of the late Martin Nolan. The work of renovating the Christian church, on North Main, avenue, has been almost completed and will be ready for occupancy tomorrow. The wotk was first begun by the Ladles' Aid society of the church, who by their untiring efforts secured the co-operation of the other departments of the church and as a result of their labors an admirable site presents Itself to the person who enters the church. An. ex pensive and beautiful window has been presented by Mrs. William Moore In memory of her husband, who was one of the founders of the church.
