I ASSAULT ON BBLMONT STREET. A younrj man named W. C. Clum was csaulted by an Italian shoemaker, who leeps a shop on Belmont street, named hmuel Ambrosa. It appears that there ma some disagreement while Clum ras In the shop. During the disturb ance Clum received a wound in tho aide, rhlle Ambrosa received a blow which ut his face. A warrant was Issued by llderman Jones and Ambrosa was held n b'all for $100. In return, Alderman fowery held Clum In ball for $300. Con table Neary brought Ambrosa to tho 'entral city, but his prisoner caught he Index finger of tho constable's left land so that It was badly lacerated. FELL TOWNSHIP SCHOOL BOARD. MERCHANT RETIRES. Yesterday arrangements were made y Irving Davis, one of tlictiest known lerchants of the city, so that he has Hired from business. He Is succeeded y George B. Peter Dlfazlo, a lad about twelve cars old, while at the north piano at lo. 28, fell Into the pit and was caught i the balance wheel. Ho was taken ut, when it appeared that his right (g below the knee was badly lacer ted. He received other painful injur ia. He was brought to the hospital, (here ho Is attended by Dr. GlUIs. Ho rill lose one leg, and It Is not yet Mown whether the wounds upon the ody will prove fatal. MINERS BURNED. Drs. M. I. Shields, of Jermyn, and S. I Shields, of this city, have two minors aider their care at the hospital. They rerej badly burned by an explosion of owder at the Erie shaft yesterday aorning.
