AVord was sent to police headquarters last night asking that a lookout be kept for Lizzie Smith, 3 years old, who wandered from her parents' home, 133C Providence road, yesterduy forenoon. On Saturday evening occurred tho death of Henry Beck, one of the oldest and most esteemed residents of Archbald. He was a staunch Republican and for a number of years he has held the office of assessor in the Frst ward. Ho Is sur vived by a wife and six children, viz.; AVilllam, Frederick, Augustus, Henry, Dora and Mary Beck, all of that town. Ho was widely known throughout the coun ty, being interested in everything pertain ing to tho welfare of the community. His funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will eo conducted at thu Lutheran church, of which ho was a member and Interment will be made In tho Protestant cemetery. Archbald lodge. Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of which ho was a member, will attend his funeral In a body. Mrs. Anna DeWItt Ostrander, widow of tho late Dr. AV. M. Ostrander, and sister of A. Mel. DeWItt, died at tho home of Mrs. A. J. Griffith, on River street, Pitts ton, at about 1 o'clock yesterday after noon. A'alvular trouble of tho heart was the cause of death. Deceased had been ailing for some time, though she was not taken seriously 111 until Friday last. For several years past Mrs. Ostrander, together with her daughter, Miss Mame Ostrander, have made their homo with Mrs. Griffith. Mrs. Ostrander was C2 years of ago on tho Jay of her death. She Is survived by her brother, Archie Mel. DeWItt, and two children, AValter Ostrander, of Philadelphia, and Miss Mamie D. Ostrander.
