The Introduction of this ordinance occasioned some remnncs by Couniilnien Purdy and Schoonover, the gentlemen taking the ground that a similar one introduced and passed by the council about a year ago was vetoed by the burgess and his veto was afterward sustalueiT by the coun cil.
