Any IN PHOTO .9IIAPIIY.—The mere process of Photography may 'e caned a great help to art rather than an art in itself. For that reason; wherever we find it prose .Neuted by artists, and not , mere mechanical copyists, ive see a degree of perfection—in the department of malting pictures of the human face and form espe -cially—unattained by the most swlcessful painters that have ever lived and's°, because pictures thus produced are perfect counterparts of nature. Such 'is pre-eminently _the character of all the pictures made by those great masters in Photography, Messrs. Broadbent & Co., Nos. 912, 914, and 916 . 4jhestnut street. Their pictures are univereallyad mired. DR. Dr. Eddy, this evening at .Con .cert Hall, on "Old England and New England—their attitude towards the Union," The Rev. gentle man,s reputation as a lecturer, is very high in Bos ton and vicinity where most of his life has been spent, and he cannot be wholly unknown to our own citizens. We trust he will have a large audience to night. The object to which the proceeds of the leo. lure areto be devoted is a worthy, and noble-one the subject, opportune—the lecture racy, eloquent, earnest, and patriotic. Go by all means and hear him. THE MARRIAGE OF THE PRINCE OF WALES.—With trumpet flourish and roll of.drum, In cadence measured and timed, passing plume and lustrous train, gold and jewel, cloth of gold, satin and ermine, ribbons and stars, condense and form a pyramid of colors, which tapers in at the door of Windsor Chapel, and lights up that space which can be seen through the gateway, as peer and peeress, knights of the garter, and ministers, gather in their places. As the trumpeters reach the choir, blow ing lustily the exultant strains, they pass to the right and left, and Beethoven's triumphant' march heralds the arrival of the procession in the choir. WANT OF PUNCTUALITY.—There. -is no thing more intolerable than to lose one's time in 'waiting ; nothing more useless ; nothing more turnip-, portable ; nothing which more easily might be 'Pre !vented, if people would only set earnestly about it. 'THE GREAT MILL BETWEEN THE PRO- Erin's LEAVORITE, " GREEN•BACH," AND THE llainOmaus' PET, "YELLOW-BOY."—This little affair, so long talked about, came off this week, when but few people expected it. The police got wind of it, but were on hand too late to atop the proceedings. Bets had been offered freely on " Yellow-boy," for some weeks past, even as high as 70 to 1, and the friends of "Green-back" were a little down in con sequence, but, on coming to the scratch, "Green back" showing such good bottom, betting went down to 36 to 1. On the first round, " Yellow-boy " was "sent to grass;" great cheering for " Green back." Between, Boards "Yellow-boy" rallied, when "Green-back" came up " smiling," and at the "Second Board" " Yellow-boy " was completely "knocked off his pins." Second round : "Yellow boy," came up "groggy," his friends all deserting him, and considering him an over-rated chap; "Green-back " got in the first mauley, which w a s straight 'born the shoulder, when "Yellow-boy" struck out "wild,' and hitting below the belt, "foul" was claimed by " Green-back , s " friends, and "Yellow-boy" not coining up to time, on the next round, his backers "threw up the sponge." "Green-back " was borne up Chestnut street on the shoulders of the crowd, while " Yellow-boy" lies in a precarious situation in Third street. The applica tion of a ".Clopperhead " may save hire . .. " Green back " was treated to a new suit of clothes, at Charles Stokes & Co.'s, under the Continental, and ca the next daydooXed as "good so new." SWEET'S INFALLIBLE LINIMENT IS THE -boat known remedy.for Sprains and bruises. BALDNESS AND Loss of HAIR :IS CAUSED bY a want of healthy action of the vessels which throw off 'the perspiration.from the head. When these Vessels are weak. or•d4easect, the perspiratian is thick and clamthy; and adheree to the mouths of the pores, and clogs them up, and dries and for f ma ScUrf or:dandruff. Less blood is then carried to Tile roots of the hair, and for want of which tile hair has not sufficient nourishment, and con sequently becomes duy and harsh, and begins insensibly to fall" off, which, continuing to increase, eventually produces baldness. Jlestore the capillary vessels of the head to their former healthy, tiirculation, and a line silky new hair will make its appearance, which will in crease in guantity and volume until the hair becomes thick and healthy.
