Ledge, Twenty.fourth warn eleotion judges, at the late eleotion, charged with misdemeanor in issuing to Tbilip Lowry, Jr.,.a certificate of eleotion to'which he was not entitled. The office of the alderman was crowded with spectators. Chag. Gilpin, Esq . appeared for the prosecution, and Lewia 0. Cassidy for the defendants. Philip Lowry, Jr., candidate for Select Council at last election, testified to having received a certificate of elec- tion from the Return Judges; it is about his house some where faeceivod the paper from the oonstabie, Penning ton. As Mr, Lowry did not have with him the certificate which had been forwarded to him, his examination was postponed. J. Alex.
