FINANCIAL AND COMMERCIAL THE MONEY MARKET. PHILADELPHIA., September 6, 1862. Money and stock matters were quiet ts-day, and no important change in any of the commodities is to be no ticed. Gold continues to rule at 11834, with rather a firm market, Old demands are also firm at lOBmlOBX bid. One-year certificates of indebtness remain at Kt e 99 wi,h not mrloh demand. Governments on the street are rather dull, as few are disposed to sell at ire sent` prices. and many afraid to buy while the threaten ing aspect of the rebellion continues. The rumor of the resignation of Secretary Stanton caused a feeling of re lief, and predictions were ills that we would soon have a better state of war matters. The fa at of ids resignation, coming from unofficial sources, caused no change in Quotations, although a more lively tone was given to the markets. Operations at the atock exchange were, on a larger, scale than yesterday, but no material change in prices occurred.
