It was resolved that the Rov. A. R. Horne, o f Quakertown, be advised to accept the call of Zion's Church, Backs county, and that said charge be advised to unite with East Pennsyl vania Synod. Some of the congregations having failed to be represented, either by ministers or dele gates, it was resolved that they be not ex cused. CIDISTBIIT BILL BBTERPRISE. Albsrt pregented a report in regard to the 'mission at Chestnut Rill, supplied with great acceptance by Rev. R. K. Rickel. The mission was commended to the churches of St. John's St. Matthew's, St. Mark's and Trinity, John's, SONTI/WARY ENTERPRISE. Rev. - Sheeleigh made a report in regard to the mission enterprise started by Bt. , Mat thew's Church, at Christ:bit Street, below Sixth, from which it appeared that the Sab bath-school, superintended by Messrs. Beisel and Suesstote, is still in a flourishing condi tion, although the stated -preaching, owing to the war excitement, has been suspended. All expressed entire confidence in the ultimate es tablishment of a church at this place. RVT. Sentm.an made report in regard to the fent:ding of a Female Seminary in Eastern Pennsylvania. The committee was discharged for the present. rursrma MM'ETISITY. Rev. Prof. W. M. Roynolds made n statement in regard to the prospects of this institution, at the close of which he obtained leave to pre sent the same to the churches of Synod, and It wan recommended to its favor and sympathy. The members of Conference reported on the state of religion in their respective charges. Several hundred accessions were-reported. Tln WAR. eItrATION- Rev. Albert moved the appointment of a committee to present resolutions expressive of the sense of Conference in regard -to our na tional troubles, at the came time begging to be excused from himself serving on the com mittee. Conference agreed to the motion, whereupon the President appointed the fol lowing committee, via! Revs. Hatter, Dr. Krautti, Dr. Greenwald, and laymen Baader and Lees. In the afternoon, Rev. Atter the transaction of sundry other import ant items of Inisiness, Conference adjourned, with a fervent prayer by Rev. Dr. Kranth, to meet in St. James' Evangelical Lutheran Chuck, Phibulelphia. Melon street, on the second Tuesday of November, 1861. The Conference was alike pleasant and important, and sincere thanks were awarded to the good people of Lower Marion, for their kind and generous hospitality.
