Mr. John C. Manton has just re turned from Philadelphia with the gratifying intelli gence that they have purchased iron for twenty-five miles, and that delivery, by oar-loads, will commence at Vincennes in a few days, tui per contract, which he brings with him, The loan was procured from the Pennsylvania Cen tral Railroad Company, through the president, J. Ed gar Thomson. who furnishes iron for the entire line, upon a Wises of the road for ten years. The Cincinnati Com mercial says that thetilaltimore and Onto Railroad Company me having a line of steam tags and barges built, with a view of running the river at all - stages between that oar and Parkersburg. Should this be the ease, the probability would-be an entire new combination between the Western and Eastern lines north of Bellaire, as by so 0101191 Y affili ating with the river the Baltimore and Ohio would, of course, 'forfeit the'sympathies of its present Western railroad connections. A oonnterfeit 810 note on the Farmers' and Bleoha nice' Bank of Predei ick, 41d., has been detected. It is an altered note, and calculated to deceive persons who aro not familiar with that denomination of notes of this bank. On the left hind, between the figures X, is a scroll, above which are the words "incorporated in - 3836," which is not in the genuine. The style of the bank, "Farmers' and Mechanios' Bank," and words "Ten Dolma" and " Frederick," are awkwardly and bunglingly engraved, Mowing broken lined, and badly printed. The names of TilOllllV3 M. Markel' , cashier, and Wm. Tyler, Sr.. president, are evidently written by one band, and in pale ink, and the note bears date August 1,1851. The ordinance authorizing Ilia oily of Louisville to lend its credit for 8130,000 to the Snelby railroad was voted on Saturday. The vote stood 870 On, and 179 against the ordinance.
