That the French Fleet had returned 4nto Port, three Sail of which were mifling, suppo sed to have foundered in a great Storm, which had over taken the fleet—and that the Englifli fleet were at Torbay. That on the 7th January the Stadholder alked leave of the States General to be absent from the country — which was immediately'grant ed—that the new government of Holland had sent to England to demand several Dutch men of war which were there.
