The county town is not more than 12 mlei distant from many parts of the set tlement. The Sufquehanrwh affords an easy and fafe navigation to Middleton, from whence the Canal to Schuylkill extends the" com munication to the city. Another means of connexion with Phi ladelphia, is by the Delaware, which the diitance infevemlplaces is aboutthirty miles.
