same again lobe published in manner aforesaid, and
such proposed amendment or amendments shall be
fulmitted to the people in suc h manner and at such
time, at least three mln , hs, after being so agreed to
by the two houses as the legislature shall prescribe;
and if the people shall approve and ratify such
amendment or amendments by a majority of the qua-

That no inconvenience may arise from the altera
tions and amendments in the Constitution of this
Commonwealth', and in order to carry the same into
complete operatiuir, it is hereby declared and ordain
ed, That,
Section 1. All laws of this Commonwealth ih force
at the time when: the said alterations and amend-
ments in the said:Constitution shall take effect, and
not inconsistent, therewith, and all rights, actions,
prosecutions, claints, and contracts as well of indi
viduals as of bodies corporate, shall continue as if
the said altermiois and amendments had not been
made.
Section 11. The alterations and amendments in the
said Constitution sh ill take effect from the hot day
of January. eighteen hundred and thirty-nine.
Section 111. The chtustes, CP (.41,ms, and reticles of
the said Constitution, which remain unaltered, stall
continue to be constittect and have effect as if the
said Constitution had not been amended.
