Tux lEPOIIT current a few days ago, that Brewer, the murderer of Nixon, was arrested in St. Louis, it appears is perfectly correct. We were informed yesterday by a gentleman, that a friend of his, who is well acquainted with Brew er, saw him in jail at that place, and had a long conversation with the murderer, so that no doubt of the identity of the prisoner can exist. We were in error in stating that a requisition from Governor Pollock had arrived here ; but now that Mayor Volt has returned home, we have no doubt one will speedily be sent on, and Brewer brought home for trial.
