THK CITY TOST. SATURDAY' SIORNlNG::t::::‘i:::^::APRIL 28. Winter's Chemical Dioramas.—Tho series of chryatalllce views exhibiting. ia£ SUEoiiic Hall, byMr.R. Winter, Ib one of the most beautiful productionsjof art ever devised* The tbangea produced appear to be almost magi cal and are singularly striking and startling. At one time, while gazing .at a View of the BaycfNaple, with "Meant Vesuvius, Its delightful scenery and pi acid waters, a gradual change comes over the econo—it dies away, and at the same time another view appears, trees, mountains, and figures taking the place of the before tranquil waters of the Bay. The most astonishing part of these views, is, that portions* two pictures are seen on the canvass at the same time, in* tcrmingling, as it were, until the one glrfiß full place to the other. We feel quite sura that nothing la be, compared to these Tlctfs has ever been exhibited in this city, and advise every one to go and roe them. A day'exhibition will be given this afternoon, at S' o’clock, for ;the convenience cf families who cannot attend itrthe evening. - Great Crt. and No Wool.—The Gazette and Journal have been very laudably engaged for some time in try tog to get at the exiict day when the Her; Charles Wad* worth, of tha Arch street Presbyterian Church, Fhiladfcl ptio, would’address a Pittsburgh public. After sundry bulletins and counter-bulletins—none of which appear to have been official,—the Journol announces yesterday that the Reverend gentleman will not come at all. We are sorry to bear it, and hope “ some one'has blundered” in making this last announcement; for in bis determination not to come, our church-going community will miss a treat in pulpit oratory. In one thing, however, the Journal is stil l incot rect It speaks oif tbo eloquent gentleman a* Doctor Wadsworth, whereas ho Is only a Reverend, never having had tho degree of Doctor of Divinity conferred upon him- Public Litbrart Exhibition. —The members of the Pittsburgh Literary Club will give their fourth pub lic performance this evening, at the Hall of the Sons of Temperance, comer of. Wood and. Third Btroeta. The sub jects selected by the respective gentlemen,-who are to take part in the proceedings, are of a very interesting nature. We advise those of our readers who can make It convenient, to ottend, atd encourage by their presence the meritorious efforts of the gentlemen composing this praiseworthy Insti tution. Admittance free'* Beats will be reserved-in front for ladles. ' • • • • ’ Sales of Real Estate—By P. M.
