It will not be less, however, than the quantity specified in the fore going list. The contract* will, therefore, be made for the quantity of each article so specified, and for such farther quantity as the bureau may require. The price must be uniform at all the stations. All the above articles must be subject to such inspection at the place of delivery as the chief of this bureau may di rect: and no article will be received that is hot fully equal to the sample in every respect, and which does not conform to the stipulations and provisions of the contract to be made. • The whole must be delivered at the risk and-exrenseof the contractor. Two or more approved sureties in a sum equal to the estimated amount of the respective contracts will be re quired, and ten per centum will be withheld from the amount of alt payments on account thereof as collateral security, and not in any event to be paid until it is in all respects complied with; and ninety per centum of the amount of all deiverles made will be paid by the navy ogsnt within thirty days after triplicate bills, doly authen ticated, shall have been presented to him.
