A FEW days since, I published an advertisement of my Hamburg Puno9, in which an extract from a letter from Prof. H Rohbuck, of this city, nddresj-el to Messrs. Baumgarten & Heins, cf Hamburg, the manufacturers, was inserted. Thin morning 1 observod in several of the dally papers a*• Notie signed by ProF. It, in which he states that I was unauthorized to make use of it, and that it was incorrectly stated and applied. In reply—l presumed that if he had written the letter, he, of course, meant what was therein contained, and con sequently required no authority from him in make the same public. As regard-, the afsertlon as to its incorrect ness, I have the letter tn my possession, and it speaks for itself, word for word aft I have published. Messrs. Baum garten & Heins ore not dependant upon Mr. Rohbock for endotsement—their Pianos were known, appreciated and received tbo highest rommend*tions from the first artists, long before Prof. R. saw fit to pass un opinion upon them. My reason for publishing the extract waft in.the fact that be was well known in the city, end not be ause his recoin -mendation was necestory to establish the merit of the Pianos. In conclufi'm, T may add that they f>tand on their own merit, and are endorsed by such men a* List, Tbalberg, and others, solely on account of their merit. iah2i CHARLOTTE BLUMS. Htir Restorer.— This preparation seems to be efficacious for the rastoratlon of the hiir upon . bald heads.. We hate seen the testimony of person-i well known to us, who have used the compound successfully thereby corroborating the opinion of its restorative ener gy. We know of nothing more dndrable $n thewayof per sonal comeliness and comfort than a'goo l iicad ot hair, and any process by which this crowning ornament of the outer man can be preserved, or recovered when lost, wlthont.in the latter case, a resort to Wigs, Toupes and Scratcl es. de serves to be balled and embraced with gratitude by all of either sex, who ore unlucky enough to need its benefit. We-took occasion the other day to notice this valuable compound in the above terms, and now republish what was then said, to show again our favorable opinion of It. The foregoing is taken from the Petersburg (Virginia) InldligmctTy and refers- to an article which has for a liras been advertised in onr columns. Wa.must confess that we have been somewhat sceptical as to the remarkable effects attributed to this famous “Ilair Restorer.” Bat our in* credulity has been greatly shaken within a day or two by seeing a coople of certificates of well-known and perfectly credible citizens of the neighboring t<jvn of Prestoo—cne of them the Captain of a New London whaling ship—to the effect that, in each of these cases, a two or three months’ use of the “Restorer” had actually brdugh.l oct a new and vigorous growth of hair upon the head where it was before bald—the baldness being, in one case, of more than twenty years standing. Wa do not suppose it is by any means cer tain that, because the application has been thus successful in one case, or two, or a dozen, it is therefore certain to prove equally successful in aIL But with such head-strong evidence as the foregoing, very few bald heads, we suspect, would willingly forego a fair trial of the “ Restorer.” All each “old heads” are informed that the article can be had at Messrs. Lee A Osgood’s — Xorwi~.li Evening Courier. Sold wholesale and retait at Dr. KKYSER’B, 140 Wood street, sign of the Golden Mortar. mh2‘.)
