named John Flood, William Walker, John Walsh
and john Tiernan, were brought before Mayor
Yoh, yesterday, on a charge of disorderly con
duct. The night previous, it appears, the party
had been on a regular "bender," and coming
down Wylie street, about " three sheets in the
wind," they seized on a sleigh standing in front
of a restaurant, belonging to a couple of gen.

In the morning, gave directions to the watchmen
along Pennsylvania Avenue and Penn street to
keep a sharp look out for them. Sure enough,

ance in the Ninth Ward, from Lawrenoevillb,
whooping and yelling like Indians, and making
"night hideous with their yells." The faithful
guardians of the night, on the alert, pounced on
the scamps instanter, and after a severe souffle,
in which two or three of the party were severely
hart, conveyed them to the watch-house.
In the morning, the two gentlemen from Mer
cer appeared against the party, who were col
lectively ordered to pay to the said Mercer gen
tlemen the sum of $6B for the use of their
sleigh, and $7 costs. The money was reluo
tantly raised, and the party discharged. Sleigh
riding in a legitimate way is expensive enough
about this region, but we opine this is a leetle the
de - lariat excursion these young men ever indulged
in. We hope it may be a warning to them.
KRAMER, THE MURDERER 07 Tames CLARK.
—From information received at the Mayor's Of
floe, there appears to be no doubt that John Kra
mer, the murderer of Terence Clark, is still in
Allegheny county, hiding around in the neigh.
borhood of the city. In Plum township, a man,
fully answering his description, has been fre
quently seen, and always behaving in the most
suspicious manner. He has gone from farm
house to farm house, begging or stealing food,
and declining to converse, even when addressed.
A few days ago he entered a farm house in Plum
,township, during the absence of the males of the

louse, being alarmed at his appearance, did not
provide him with what he wanted directly,
which he snatched up a lot of provisions from
the table, and after searching the eupboard for
matches, left um quickly as he came. Coroner
Lowry, in company with an officer,- visited the

and learned sufficient to satisfy him that this
suspicious individual was Kramer.
If it bad not been for the meanly parsimo-

managed to elude the officers of justice, would

The Wall street money market presents undiminished
stringency, and several Whirrs are reported. A large re.
tail clothing house has asked for an extension of time, and
the proprietor of one well known hotel—being partner also
in another—has suspended payments. Tune loans are
made at 9 to 10 per cent on fancy stock eecutitles. but cull
loans can only be obtained on the bast kinds. First clans

WHEREAS, The 29th section of an act of the General
Assembly, entitled "An net providing fot the sale
of the main line of thepublie works from Philadelphia to
Pittsburgh," approved the 27th day of April, one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-four, declares:—
" That if the said main line shall not be awarded to any
purchaser under the providens Of this not, the Governor

for purchasing the same, or any division thereof, and trans.
