While th« occupants of a room or building experience nil the comfort arising from a warm summer at mosphere, they also inhale pure life-giving and health sustaining air, not eontitnilnafrd by being derived from damp, unhealthy sources, or Its power to sustain lifo bolng Impaired by coming Iq contact with an over-hented surface. These results are produced, in part, by constructing tha famaco in such n manner that tbo heat is diffused at a low er temperature than is usual with any other Furnace now known to tho public. In producing this result, anotherob ject of great Importance is obtained on tho score of econo my : the heat-nhsoTbing os well na radiating surface la so great that tho heat Is almost entirely abstiacted from the gases before they are driven off into the chimney, thereby greatly reducing the consumption of fuel. The fuel cham ber is so lined with soapstone anil fire-brick that tho fuel cannot come in contact with the iron, preventing tho over beating of the air, and destruction or Injury to the Furnace. The joints of tho Furnace am so constructed as to afford room for making a tight sand and clay joint, preventing tho esc&po of noxious nnd sooty gases into the room, so an noying to tha occupants, and so iujuriousto tbo health and furniture. The air to be warmed Is taken direclly from tho outside of the building in all cases, thus insuring a supply of pure, wholesome air for breathing, and the other important func tions required by the human system—the oxygen is not af fected, nor tho organic matter in tho air carboulted by com ing in contact with an over-boated surface, as with other furnaces, and headaches and other disagreeable sensations aro prevented by this means—and in consequence of the warm air not making too large demands upon the lungs and evaporating surface of the ekin, to supply the moisture which it has lost In passing over a red hot surface. In proof of this, attention is called to the certificates of Pro fessor Billiman, of Yolo College, New Haven, and to those of other scientific persons who have examined this subject. If publlo and universal approval Is any test of merit, the proprietors of this valuable Furnace can appeal to the written testimony of thousands, to the press, and to public exhibitions in all parts of tho world, It having received the Prise Medal at the World's Fair, nnd the highest Premiums at Fairs in New England, Now York, and a Silver Modal at tbo State Agricultural Fair in Pennsylvania.
