While tbo occupants of a room or building experience all the comfort arising from a warm summer at mosphere, they also inhalo pure life-giving and health sustaining air, not contaminated by being derived from damp, unhealthy sources, or its power to,sustain life being impaired by coming in contact with an over-heated surface. These results arn produced, in part, by constructing the furnaco in such a manner that the heat is diffused at a low er temperature than Is usual with -any other Furnace now known to tbo public. In producing this result, another ob ject of great Importance is obtained on the score of econo my: the hcat-absoTbing- as wt-11 as radiating surface is so great that the heat is almost entirely abstracted from the gases before they nro driven off into the chimney, thereby greatly reducing the consumption of fuel. The fuel cham ber Ss so lined with sospstono and fire-brick that the fuel cannot coxno in contact with the Iron, preventing the over heating of tho air, and destruction or injury to the Furnace. The joints of the Furnace arc so constructed as to afford room for making a tight sand and day joint, preventing tbo escape of noxious and sooty gases into the room, so an noying to the occupants, and Vo injurious to too health and furniture. The air to bo warmed la tnkon directly from the oatsido of the bulldf djld all euros, thus insuring a supply of pure, wholesome air for breathing, and the other importantfunc tlons required by the huiunu system—the oxygen Is not af fected, nor the organic matter in thn air carbonized by com ing la contact with nn orer-honted surface, ns with other fUrnaces, aud beadnrbos aud other disagreeable.sensations are prevented by this menus—and in consequence of the warm air not making too large demands upon the lungs and evaporating surface of the skin, to supply tbo moisture which it hns lost In passing over n red hot surface. In proof of this, ntteoilon is called to the certificates of Pro .feasor SUliman, of Tale College, Now Ilaven, and to' those of other scientific persons who have examined this subject. If public and universal approval Is any test of merit, the proprietors of this valuable Furnace .can appeal to ;tho written testimony of thousands, to the press, and to public exhibitions in all parts of tbo world, it having received the Prize Medal at the World’s Fair, and the highest Premiums at Fairs in Now England, New York, and a Silver Medal at the State Agricultural Fair in Pennsylvania.
