In March last, the same banks held $2,227,000 of specie to $18,155,000 of circulation and dopoß its, or.nbout 121 of immense liabilities to one of specie—showing an increase of liabilities over specie means in throe months of 11 per omit. : This steady expansion of tho banks, says the Philadelphia Ledger, indicates very conclusive ly a disposition to borrow money in preference to working for it. ■.Notwithstanding, tho’im mense amount of coin coming into tho country it will bo seen that the banka rim ahead of it in their liabilities to the public.
