Horse Stealing — Nearly. —A man named Wil- J liara M’ltroy, a resident of Peeples township, was arrested on Tuesday night for horse-steal ing. It appears that M’llrey, who was rather 1 “tight," wished to procure more liquor, which j ho could not do without coming to the city, and 1 he tboK n horse belonging to Jacob Wearer, jr., j to procure the “critter,” but was afterwards in duced by his friends to replace the animal, but not before Mr. Wearer had started for this city, where he accused M’llroy of horse-stealing before Aid, Major. A warrant was immediately issued, and placed in the hands of officers M’Coy and Bovd, who arrested M’llroy, and brought him to the city, when Aid.
