Hannfattaren ol Pbccalx Fire Proof Safes, Suond Wood and SmiuK/uld, * ON Tuesday afternoon, July &>, ISIS, the undersigned were colled upon by Messrs. ABarr, to wiinesv an honest and lair test of one di tbclr Pbccnli Safes. The furnace being prepared, lac Safe was placed inside thereof, with books, papers and some money; when the doorof the Safe was closed and the fire kindled ata quarter pasta o’clock, and in & short time the Safe was red hot, and coniinucatiii half paste o’clock, being about four anti a half hours, when the committee expressed their sadifactioh that tho Umc occupied with such heat was sufficient. The furnace waslhe&puUed down,B&fe cooled,and.d.oor opened—the books,- papers and money safe. The heat was so great as to melt off the brass mountings.
