Chancellor Walworth presented a series of resolutions, and delivered a very brilliant and eloquent address. Kostimth replied in his 'usual strain of eloquence. A large number of ladies were present at the interview. The Secretary of the Commonwealth of Penn sylvania, Ccd. Russell, called on lioasuth this morning, and was introduced by the Hon. A. KIIIIII13; member of Congress from Pennsylvania. Mr. Itusiell, in. a neat speech, ..presented to Kossuth the resolutions passed by the Legisla turti of Pennsylvania, inviting him to visit the Capitol. Kossuth, in reply, signified his intention to be in Harrisburg next Tuesday. PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATITRE. HARRISBURG, Jan. 9. SemArz.—The Speaker laid before the Senate a communication from the Commissioners of the Sinking Fund, which was read and ordered to be printed. COmmunications were also received from the Auditor General and the Governor—the last transmitting the titles of bills signed during the recess of the Legislature. Mr. Blair introduced a bill to prohibit the im migration of negroes into this Conimonwealth. A bill was introduced for the more effectual punishment of the crime of murder. Mr. Sanderson submitted the - collowthg„ reso lution: Resolved, That a committee of five senators be appointed to apportion the State into Con gressional districts.
