Dale, President. Alter the usual routine ofbasiness, Dr. Rodgers reported a platform for the temperance men to unite on in psuricoi action, which niter considerable discussion ..was adopted. The preamble goes on to detail the many and great evils arising from intemperance; and the fol;.' lowing method is proposed and agreed upon as !hi remedy:—That in order, to carry oat these princi.. ples as far as io our power at this time, wo solemnly pledge ourselves to vote for no candidate for office in this county, unless bin character and conduct are such as *entitle him to bo regarded, as a reliable temperance man ; nod wo aim recommend sister associations throughout the county and State, to adopt the same course of action. Tazaysm—lt is our tour this evening to applaud the celebrated damage Mlle. Co!celiac Franck, so highly praised by the northera paPers. Not alone is she unapproachable by any living danseuso, but co creature of eighteen summers has ever devoted so much of her happy existence to heneVolonce and charity as Celestine Franck. . As a child she danced from her mother's house, to bestow and ['hare a portion of her then humblristicans with the children of parents poorer than .her own t nod-a late act of hiss we know of in New York,.would give us much pleasure in detailing, if we wore not afraid to bo accused of intruding in private business. Vic torine, her sister, is a' spirit of faultless beauty, with magnificent enveloped limbo and graceful- cons _formation. Moos. Espinosa is, io ono word, the successor of the illustrious blazoner.
