Burred to Death.—A woman by the name of Alice Johnson, about 60 yean of age, who bad been lyingio tho Mercy Hospital about four weeks, &f. Aided with chronic rheumatism, was burned to death on Tuesday, about 5 o’clock in the evening, under tbe following circarasianccs? She was lying in a room alone, whore were two beds. About 4 o'clock tho Sisters visited her, and 'Wg&t out to- prepare her sapper,—when they re« turned About 5 o’clock, they ton nd the room filled -witb-emoke, the two bads on fire, and her lying in >the middle of the room on Iho floor, dead. She wan completely crisped with tho flames. It is*Supposed—ebb being a little deranged for’ some tuno past—that she had got up, took somo of the fire from the grqte and set fire to the beds. The coroner held an inquest yesterday on the body, and returnod a verdict in accordance with tbe frets above.
