There has been bet a very imited demand for these staples this week, and the sales from stores have been light at 11Rii/151c. for Bagging and 7(a171c. for Rope ; and a few sales at a fractidn higher on long 'time. Good Bagging has been offered at 149141 e. The atocks on hand ore frir. The receiptsthis week amount to 1,585 pieces and 1,118 roils. The shipments were 1,625 pieces and 1,102 coils. The stocks left on band amount to 10,014 pieces and 1.1,014 coils. Cotton one Cotton Yarns—Sales of 40 or 50 bales of Alabama Cotton early in the week at !comic., and we notice the shipment of a considerable lot to Pittsburgh. Receipts this week of 447 bathe. Cot ton Yarns are firm,' and Eagle Yarns have been ad vanced to 81, 91 and 10Ic. per dozen for the differ ent numbers. Prices have advanced st Pittsburgh, and the agents here are instructedito bold on at the advance. Other Yarns have been sold at 8, 9 and 10c. for the assorted numbers in lots, with 21 per cent. off to the trade. Good Batting commands 10c. Coal and Wood.. The supply of Pittsburgh Coal is now quite fair, and we quote sales by the boat boat at 81c.; and sales of 20,000 bushels at 9c.; re tail sales at 120/121c., delivered. Good Wood is selling at $1,50 to $3,00 per load. Bog... There ii.a good demand in the market, and we have heard of sates of 8,000 head at 82,50 off the hooka. One of oar packers bought a lot of 900 head this week, on White river, in Indiana, all to average 240 lbs., at $1,50 gross. The slaughtering has commenced here, and during yesterday and to day some 6,000 head bare been killed. In the va rious pens there are upwards of 12,000 head. The weather is unfavorable, it being too warm, and ope rations and arrivals are in consequence much re tarded.
