After bearing, the. Jury returned a verdict of Guilty. Prisoner was remanded. Com. rs Fielding and Brooks. Indictment "Oh taining Goods . on False Pretences." The prosecut ing witness was Mrs. Priscilla Moore. She stated in her testimony, that the defendant, Fielding,pass ed upon her a brass piece in the similitude of an American. ,, F.agle," for which she gave ten dollars in paper. Officer Richardson was present at the elimina tion of the defendant, before the Mayor ; about thir. ty brass pieces were found in Fielding's carpet bag.
