A considerable number of those mines have already
been discovered in the trap ranges bordering on Lake Su

ready made, it cannot he doubted that others equally. if
not more, valuable will he found throughout this whole

In some of the mines now worked. copper is found al
most pure: and in tact• too.t of the native copper and

All the necessary rrmterials for the construction of fur

the immediate neighborhood of the mineral ; and ;be face
of the country in such, that the mine. require but little. if

advantage,
The climate in the winter : though cold., does not inter

considered the most favorable tor their operatiniii.
The proximity of these mineral lands to the shore of
Lukc . Soperior, on which are - I safe and excellent

Sault Ste. Marie. Lnke, Huron. Erie. &c., furnish ready
means of transponing the products of these lands to the
r rinripal markets of the Caned States at a very trifling
cost.
It likewise appears from the reports to this office, that
theagricultural lands are of a fair quality, producing the
usual culinary vegetables and grass in abnud auk,; and

favorable for grain crops also; strut (or all these products

CONSUMPTION, COUGH. SPITTING OF BLOOD,
BRONCHITIS. cc.—To Cptuumptives.—Four-fifths
of you are really suffering from neglected colds, or an ob
struction and consequent inflammation of the delicate li
ning of those tubes through which the air we breathe is
distributed to the lungs. This obstruction produces pain
and soreness, cough, di ffi culty of breathing, hectic fever,
and a spitting of bloinl, matter, or phlegm, which filially
exhausts the strength of the patient, and death ensues.
JAYNE'S EXPECTORANT NEVER FAILS to remove
this obstruction, and produces the most pleasing and
happy results. It is certain in its effects, and cannot fail
to relieve.
