baits Tiurr, of thai city is undergoing a trial at
the, present , term of the Court of Common Pleas, on
a chute of manufacturing and circulating spuri

,
a good character. By industry i he has-accumula
ted considerate property, ind we are really soon

charge against him. We trust he will be able to
prove' hie entire innocence.

to his brother, FRANCIS CLIXTON, Esq., of Moya

Important to Consumptives !!!—Strange ! That
so many who are afflicted with a Cough that is
gradually, wearing them down, and slowly, but
surely stealing them into 'that dreadful disease,
Consumption—that disease which carries off thou
sands daily, ate doing nothing, or what is worse
than nothing, gorging themselves with nostrums,
that 'are puffed to the skies for cures they are said
to have effected on some foreign or unknown per.
sena. When they can be pssitively cured by using
Dr. Rogers' Compound Syrup of Liverwort and
Tar, which still continues to effect the most Won
derful Cures ever recorded in the annalsof medicine.
4 fact which is proved by reference to the vast
number of certificates from the firs! and most re
speetable citizens, such as Dr. Wm. J. Richards,
Judge Wm. Burke, the Wife of the Rev. G. W.
Maley, Dr. Hiram Cox,, late Professor in Eclecti
Medical College of Cincinuati, and others of this
place. Certificates not only of-remarkable cures
of distressing Cough, but Consumption actually
cured, afterthe Physicians of the highest standing
had given them up to diet If men of such high
standing will vouch for the grert virtues of this
medicine, we cannot but infer that it is at least all
that it is represented to be. It can be had at D.

Mr. Abraham Vandcrbeck, of 98 Avenue D, New
York, certifies that hie head was entirely bald on
the top, and by the use ' ,of two 3s. bottles of Jones ,
Coral Hair Restorative, he has a good crop of hair,
and will' soon have it long, thick, and luxuriant.
Mr. Wm. Jackson, of 89 Liberty st., Pittsburgh,
certifies: On the 3d of Feb. 1847, that Mr. Thomas
Jackson's head, on the top, was entirely bald for
fifteen years, and that by using two 3s. bottles of
Jones Coral Hair Restorative, theLhair is growing 1
fast, thick and healthy.. ; He expects by using this a
little longer to have abetter head of hair than he
ever had. HAVE YOU. Scuar OR DANDRUFF t Mr.
Power, a grocer, on Fulton st., had • his hair com
pletely choked up with 'dandruf, and Jones , Coral
Hair Restorativlp entirely and permanently cored it.
• Directions for using Jones' Coral Hair Restorative:
For forcing the growth of Hair, it is necessary to
cause a slight friction on the scalp, so that the Re
storative may enter the pores. This may be done by
applying it with a moderately hard brush, but it is
not necessary to use these harsh means except in ac
tual cases of baldness. Where the Hair fills off,
turns grey, &c. ? apply the Restorative with the hand,
or a soft brush. Part the hair in the different places,
so that the restorative, may touch the scalp. The
same directions may be used for Dressing, 4 , c.

all cases of fever it will be foun&one of the most
pleasant wash that can be used. A few applitations

UNB LUSH ING IMP UDENCE.--Prom a published
card ofM'Callmont & Bond, ofPhiladelphia, the
public would be led to believe that we have been
claiming a privilege we had no right to. That"they
have abandoned some time since, the exclusive
agency system," and that we .have right to, claim
"exclusive priiileges with their teas." I never
pretended to sell the teas of this spurious concern.
I have been selling the teas of the Ntw York Pekin
Tea Company fur the last two years, as the public
are aware, and have been to New ork four times
in that time, and never heard of this new concern
until lately but as wool dealers.
The tea business of PiPCallmont & Bond is about
eight months old, and their assumption of the Pe
kin Tea Company's name is because a name it open
fur any man or firm to pasume; but the fact intended
to imply thereby, that they have any connection
'with tte so called and well known Pekin Tea Cm
of New York, is entirely false, they having been de •
nied even an agency in Philadelphia, for the New
York Company, that Company having refused even
thus far to confide in them.
I know not what kind of wool they keep, nor
what kind of teas; I am only certain that they keep
or obtain none of the Pekin Tea Company's of New
York.
Any person reading this card will see the gross
deception they wish to practice on the public, and
to the injury of my business. 111 , Callmont 4- Bend
are wool dealers in Philadelphia, and have sent an
agent out here to pull wool over? the eyes of some
of our good citizens. Look out for the black sheep.
