We have, already the :Philo Hall, the Odeon, many " splendid saloons ; and 'other places for the accom • inodation, atnusetnent and instruction of the people. . W venow to add another, oticed soineWeeks :ago ; . , Which wilwill'soon be finii d. It is not lathe inbit convenient trart of the city, yet, the advanta • . 'gel L and excellenales of the building will attract large crowds. We refer to - the Atheneum, owned by Mr. M:Clarg. We find in the Gazette the 'best l i 'description of it, which we transfer to our colunms: , The istablishment occupies the sezond and third stories of 'the building, the entrance being on the coiner of Liberty street and Strawberry-alley. On .the secgnd.floor of the building is the large Athe nium,Saloon, the Atheneum Lyceum and Reading }Loon), and a large number of lady's and gentle. men's Bath rooms, and a lady's Fatigue Parlor and -Drawing Room. To the bath rooms there are two -entrances at each extreme end of the building— one-for the ladies, the other for the gentlemen. On the third Story Tof thee building is found the great Atheneum Musical Hall, perhaps the rargest in the Westerncountryj , This Hall is intended for public assemblies, concerts,- lectures, &e., for which it is admirably adapted, being spacious and well venti lated, and having three grand entrances leading to it. Adjacent to the Musical Hall is aßefreshment - room, belonging to the Saloon below, from which it is intended to serve the company in their seats ••With ice creams and other delicames,.atsuch times --during intermissions in concerts, &c.—as they may. not have time to leave the room to partake of refreskments in the. Saloon below. The Saloons • -are to be-.under the superintendence of an efficient 'company, and.the baths are to be under the diree. 'tion of Dr. M. R.•Delany, who is eminently quali fied for the task. The Lyceum aid Reading Rooms, we are informed, are to be under the direction of 'the Merchants, Manufacturers and Artizans of :Pittsburgh. The Musical Hall is expected to be Ander the .control of Mr. Bingham, Principal of the Pittsburgh Musical Academy. 'The whole of the extensive establishment is to'be fitted up and con . -ducted in the very best style, so as to make it one of the most agreeable places of resort in the city. The Three gig Doors vs. The Western World I 160 ,000 WELL SELECTED GARMENTS 'VOW made and ready to be offered on the most IN liberal terms to My old customers and the pub lic in general. The Proprietor of this far famed and extensive establishment has now, after returning from the Eastern cities, at much trouble and eXpense, iust completed his fall and winter arrangements to supply his thousands of customers with one of the mo::t desirable steel:fief Clothing that has ever been offered in this or any other market west of the moun tains. Forneatness in style and workmanship, com bined with the very low price which they will be sold for, must certainly render the old unrivalled Three Big Doors one of the' greatest attractions 01 the western country. It is gratifying to me to be able to announce to my numerous friends at home and abroad, that notwithstanding the extraordinary efforts which I have made to meet the many calls in my line, it is with difficulty I can keep time with the constant rush that is made on this popular establish ment. It is a well established fact, that my sales are eight or ten 1.1113 CA larger than any other house in the trade, and this being the case on the amount sold, 1 can afford to sell at much less profit than others could possibly think of doing if they wished to cover con tingent ex'pcnacs. I intend to make a cleau , sweep of all my present stock before the beginning of next year; coming to this conclusion, I will mike it the interest of every man, who wants a cheap winter suit, to call and purchase at the Three Doors. oct2l-d&w .1011 N M'CLoSK Ey.
