Scott bad deter• mined not to advance upon the city of Mexico, until he'shalt have received reinforcements Gen. Cadwallader is said to have had a conflict' with a large party of Guerillas near Jalapa, of whom thirty were killed, without the loss of a man on our side. The train which left Vera Cruz in charge of the escort under Gen. Pillow, was attacked at Ca lera. During the contest thirty I%lexicans were killed, and ten Americans wounded.
