The Americans! met the charge on foot, and not only repelled it, but entirely dispersed the enemy, and a small body of our troops having got mounted hastily, pursued them and drove them into the mountains.. The Mexicans' cannon were taken, and turned' upon them. Their loss was about 30 killed: None of the Americans were killed. and but 7 slightly wounded. , - : From the J:ouraal of Saturday Our correspondent is entirely mistaken, We did not send to Ohio for a living witness lo' - the castigation of Mr. Harper, of 'the - .Post.
