Having chased one into a stone pile, one of the boys, a youth of sixteeu, named Johu Bowman, i.i the employ of Mr. P. K. Haniittb, commenced digging it out. Another boy, named Focht, laid bis gun on the ground behind Bowman, who told him to take it away. Focht took up the gun, but in doing so, accidentally dis charged the load, which struck Bowman, entering his hips aud lodging in his ad doiiien. The gun was heavily charged with buck shot. Tbe boy managed to walk to his father's house, a mile dis taut, but at once went to bed, suffering terribly from internal hemorrage The services of physicians were of no avail, aud on tbe following Tuesday death re lieved tbe unfortunate young man of his sufferings. Ex. Accounts of speedy and effectual cures of cancer by tbe use of clover tea continue to reach us from all directions. Fiom Brooks county, Ga a responsible gentleman writes to the Knoxville (Ten ) Wliig, giving the case of a lady who had been afflicted for eighteen years with a cancer which had resisted the efforts of the best medical aid to effect a cure or even alleviation of the disease. The cancer had attacked her on the right cheek, just below the eye, aud had eaten pretty much all that side of her face, to gether wiih the eye and the greatest por tion of her nose. This lady has been completely cured iu a few mouths by the use of elover tea. The red clover is used ; the tops are boiled in water, and the tea is used externally and iuternally. Cows and Calvas were excessively dull, and prices had a downward tendency, sales of springers at 30a50 and fresh cows at $45a65 ; receipts, 250 head. Sheep met a moderate demand and full figures were oltaioed. The offering were light ; sales of fair and prime at 6a7o and' lambs at 6Ja7c ; receipts, 14,030 head. Hogs attracted considerable attention and with light receipts and offerings prices fa vored buyers ; sales of corn-fed at 7a7.50 per 1000 lbs net ; leceipls, 6,100 head. BEEr Cattle There was not much vitality this morning in the market for Beef Cattle, and prices though quotably unchanged, had a downward tendency.
