ommending your. Salamander Safes to Merchants
and others in want Of a secure means of preserving
their books, papers, Ike, from fire, as the one we
pUrchased from you about seven months since, has
preserved our books, and cash in as good a condi
tion as they were when put into it, before the .
great fire thit morning, which' ckstroyed the en
tire block of buildings corner of Chestnut end Fifth
streets. The 'above was in use in our office, on
the second floor of our building, from which place
it fell into 'the cellar and remained there until the
fire was out. The - Safe was then. removed - and
opened in the presence of at least WOO persons,
who witnessed the good conditioutif the contents.
Will you please have the Safe and Locks repaired
as we intend to put it in 'use again, having perfect
poulidencelb k its fire-proof qualities.
