question is whether ten thousand dollars will
be sufficient to erect a dwelling house in Har
risburg, suitable for a man with an income
not weeding fimr thousand dollars, and who
will be compelled to spend a largo portion of
that income in hospitalities. . The idea that a
certain amount of shows, in the style and size
of the mansion. is necessary for the dignity of
p enTh eylrania, is essentially anti-republican;
and so our entemporaries will universally con
