Editora Bulletin:—Giorrixatz-n: My attention has been called to your remarks in relation to what I said at the Public Buildings Commission on the subject of the Court-house on Sixth street,. Part of what I said is reported in your paper of 21st inst.. with tolerable correctness. What I meant to convey was, not that the building was a handsome one in itself, but that it Was commodious, and handsomer by comport eon ,than any other the city had erected for pub lic purposes on Independence Square; that there was a ,peComity for additional accommodation for the wort of Quarter Sessions, and that the building in question was the beat that could ba got from Councils at the time—an of wh i ch is true. lam sure I never pretended that it was to be admixed .in an artistic point of view. An in spection of it will satisfy any one of its commo tlloUeneel3,and in that particular it Is not excelled EMBEZESI try4tey, In the interior of the Stale, and ItsVa menthe best, Of RIM There.ls every comfort, and convenience forjudgesolistrlet-attotneY,laWrets. juries, Clerks, witnesses and spectators; there are clerks' Offices, retiring monitor judges, tlre proas, watar-cloaets, wash-basins, bedding and sleeping-rooms for Jurors, , nesting and lighting apparatus, stiperior to any ever before furnished to courts in Philadelphia, and, as I believe, an equaled by any in the interior of the State. The building is 112x60 feet-6,720 superficial feet—and was erected and furnished for about $70,000, a sum much less than is generally sup posed. The old State House is only 100x40 feet —4.000 superficial feet. I will relieve your anxiety by assuring you that you need not fear. Messrs.
