' A New School House.—The corner-stone of a new school house on a lot adjoining the Ameri can Mechanics’ Hall, on Fourth street, below Girard avenue, will be laid this afternoon with appropriate ceremonies. The building will be 4« feet front by 50 feet deep. The lot is 120 feet front by 100 feet deep. The building will be three stories high. Each floor will be divided into four recitation roiSnis. 22 by 25 feet. The outer walls will be faqew with stone. The whole will present a beautiful appearance. It will be finished by January 1,1808.
