SECOND EDITION. BY TELEGRAPH. THE FENIAN EXCITEMENT. Meetings at Buffalo and Cincinnati. BEPORTB FROM CANADA. Tbe Fenians—neeUngr at Buffalo. Buffalo, October 30th.—In spite of the heavy rain last night, there was another big meeting at the old Court-house. The Fenian Senator, Mr. Morrison, and. others spoke, ereating great 'enthusiasm' among the audi ence, The lrish military organizations are recruiting men, and money is being col lected. Even the women are said to be at work, and the war spirit is rampant. Cincinnati, Oot. 30.— The Fenians of this city assembled in large numbers, at the armory, last evening, and great excitement was manifested over the news from Toronto and.Washingtoii, Many of those who pari ticipated in the 'Buffalo : expedition, were present. Head Centre Fitzgerald mustered into the service four full companies of mem and arrangements were made for; uniform; ing and arming as many as may be mustered here,.; .• i Toronto, C. W.; Oct 29 [Special to the SVi&ime], —The despatch of Mr. Seward to the British Minister t regarding the con demned Fenian prisoners causes some ex citement and much indignation here. The feeling is very general throughout the Pro vince that the death-penalty should be car ried out, at least as far as the ringleaders are concerned. Among the volunteers this feeling is vei-y strong, and numbers threat en that, unless the Government allowable law to take its course, they will resign tneir command. „ Lynch is reported to be in no way discom posed since his trial." He sleeps well and eats heartily,’ and does not at all seem to realize his position. Yesterday, the other three Fenian prisoners were arraigned. Their trials are to take place shortly. The prisoners all speak well of their treatment Joy the Canadian offieials, but bitterly de nounce their friends in the United States for leaving them without funds and otherwise unprovided. The Assizes at Cornwall opened to-day. The Hon. Chief Justice • Draper made a long and eloquent address to the Grand Jury, who proceeded to consider the bills against the Fenian prisoners at present in jail there. They are all Canadians who were taken along with Mike Morphy. Ottawa, Oct. 29.—The news of the threats of vengeance by the Fenians, should Lynoh and his companions be hanged, is creating great excitement here. ; The hotels are crowded, and groups are to be seen at the street corners reading the extras in the rain. The volunteers at Ridgeway demand the death of the raiders; bat others believe, from Mr. Seward’s demand upon the British Minister, that their execution would culmi nate in war with the United States, and therefore oppose it. The only two Ministers here to-day are besieged with anxious questions; but they will know nothing till the return of the At torney Genera], who is at Hamilton. cm BDLLmS. Southerners to aocept it, to-day’s New York Times says: “We do not propose to press our views of this matter, with undue warmth or pertinacity, upon their attention. As we have already said, it is eminently one for their own decision. They have the right to act as they please abont .it—to accept or reject qur advice, and to denounce and vilify all at jthe North who give them counsel more or less unpalatable, to their hearts’ content. If they can find in so doing either aid or consolation in their trouble! we shall be veryglad of it, for certainly they need both. We have nothing to gam by trying to aid them—nothing but distrust and alien ation at the North, and evidently little be yond calumny and detraction at the South.” 100 sh Bead B ' FIRST BOARD. $6200 City 6a new loijf 10 eh Lehigh VpM 68 8200 do ESO loili 2sh do 67 0000 TT S KMOa cou iro 110 eh Nor Central n5OO UB6s’Bl reg UBX lOOshHestonvllleß 15 150 ah Del Div 57M 200 ah do UA lOOshPennaß CAP 58 100 eh do u -100 ah do sown 58 200 ah Ocean Oil 100 ah Bead B b3O 58M P-RICES OF STOCKS IN NEW YORK, ißy Telegraph.)
