Y. Herald. DEATH FROM THE STING OF A.-FISH.-1511% John Myers, residing near New Oxford, Adams county, Pa.,died on Wednesday of last week from loc-jaw, produced by a wound from' the sting of a fish. It appears That some four, or five weeks previous Mr. M. had purchased a lot of fish, and in hand lbi.g them one Of his fingers received a slight prick or wound from - the fin . of one of the fish. - Although painful at the titatit,' he did not pay much attention to tbe wound,think ing it was a mere trifle, but in a few days afterwards the wound became very painful, Ids hand and arm swelling 'fearfully, caus ing him the most intense agony. He suf fered for several weeks in the greatest misery, when mortification set in and death came to his relief. DEATH OF A CENTENARIAN.—A colored :woman, called old Aunt Biddy Lundy, died near Macon, Ga., lately, one hundred Sand twelve years old. She had _been in the same family for three generations. She was born in Virginia, and used to describe the march of Cornwallis through that State.
