A FIGHT AND STABBING.-A fight oecui- zed early yesterday morning in the tavern of Mat. Tully, on Callowhill street, above Broad, during which Wagner Weist and Daniel Penrose were stabbed and severely injured. 'Penrose was conveyed touts house, in sixteenth street, below Vine. and 'Weist was taken to the Pennsylvania Hospital. Weist Is injured in the shoulder, side and other portions of his body, the wound In the , shoulder being the most serious. He is not, however, considered in a dangerous • condition. Two brothers, named Charles and Janice Pruit, have been arrested and held for a further hearing, on the charge of being implicated in tae stabbing of Waist and Per rose. CITY MORTALITY.—The number of inter;- reents in the city during the past week, was 274,against 39.5 during the same period, last year. Of the whole number 135 were• adults and 139 children—Ss being under one year of age: 140 were males, 134 feq.ales, 7d boys and sl girls. The greatest number of deaths oc curred in the Twentieth Ward. being 92 and the lowest number in the Fourteenth Ward, where only three were reported. The principal causes , of death were --croup; 11; consumption, 39; convulsions, 1:1; disease of the heart., 7; debility,l4; scarlet fever, 9: typhoid fever, 16: inflammation of the lungs, 18: marasmus, -18; old age, 11. TELT F.Els'ialcs.—Six of the Circles of this city met on Saturday night, and finally determined neon their action relative to the Congress to be held a; ew York, nn Tuesday. Only two of teem, the Sars• held •and Wolf Tone, agreed to support the Senate. Twelve out of the sixteen Circles of tne city were elected delegates to the Congress, ami eight of the Circles have passed resolutions positively endorsing, OlMahony. The members of the Ilerburh and mmet Circles being divided in opinion, will not send dele• gates. ATTEMPTED SUICIDE,—A young woman, flamed•Anea Davis, attempted to commit suicide yes terday, at Sixteenth and Cherry streets, by swallowing a quantity of laudanum, which she purchased at a drug store at Fifteenth and Race streets. She was conveyed to the Pennsylvania Hospital, where the usual restoratives were applied and she was soon out of danger. A recest discharge from the arsenal and a Want of employment prompted the act. NAVY PENSIONS.—To-morrow the Pension Agent will commence the payment of Naval Pensions for the half year ending January Ist; Ofmtese there are between four' and five hundred. In all invalid cases,'exceptin those in which thetlebllity arises from loss of limb, biennial examinations will be required in conformity with law. This fact should be particularly observed, as without a surgeon's certificate payment will be suspended. INTERNAL REVENDE RECEIPTS.—The re ceipts from internal revenue in the First Collection District of Pennsylvania, from December Ist to 30th, 1865, amount t 0114,32,422 36.
