-. This great line traverses the Northern and
Northwest counties of-Pennsylvania to the city oi
Erie, on Lake Erie.
It has been leased by the Pennsylvania Railroad
Company, and under their auspices is being rap
idly opened throughout its entire length.
It is now in use for Passenger and Freight busi
ness from Harrisburg to Emporium, (105
miles,) on the Eastern Division, and from
Sheffield to Erie (78 miles) on the Western
Division.
