Heretofore no little inconvenience has been
experienced by County and City Treasurers, and
other collectors of taxes, in the matter of stamp
ing tax receipts. In both Pittston - ea and Alle

ed by the parties to whom they are given;
but if all the receipts ware required to be
stamped, the labor of putting on the
stamps and cancelling them would be consider•
able. In order to settle the matter definitely,
