noticed on the street on Monday kat, a man
not much if any larger than Toz-Tnmen. His
namels Wx. ALimearnvi, and be was born and
'lived in Burlington until about fatty years of
age. I He now residei in Ohio, and is visiting
friends in this county'. Although nearly sixty
five year. old, he is still hale and hearty,and in
the apparent enjoyment of vigorous health. Me
is a Man of considerable oulturii and refine
ment,! and more than ordinary Intellectual
ability. His height is 23 inches.'
ToWANDA is peculiarly fortunate in
the posseuion - ot a large amount of musical
talent of a high order. We now have four brass
bandi f two of which would do credit to any
town P 1 the State, although. they have been
organfzed but a short time. They are compos
ed for, the mosepart of permanent residents of
the place, and should therefore receive the en
couragement and aid of all who feel any pride
in the, growth and prosperity of our embryo
city. These bands are under the esEecial pa

warbound freight train struck the wagon,

OBiTUAILY.—Mr. War. CAMP, sr., of
Camptown, Bradford Co., Pa., departad this
life May 25, 1874, at his lifelong residence, sur
rounded with his dritifgh, children, grandchil
dren, and great-grandchildren, a. d other
friends innumerable.
This good old man, whom everybody respect
ed and admired, PO far as he was known„lived
91 years, 1 month and lErtlays. Ho was born
in Connecticut, Apra 7, 1873. His father moved
to this then wilderness when'he was but a lad
of eight years. His mother beldame, a constan
ent member of the old Wyaluting Church, or
gamzed.l793. September 22, 1803, tie married
JEDIDA LACES, of LaeOrille, Who proved to be
a faithful co-worker firtan•ially, and active in
every good work for the elevation of her family,
who have given her 4 lasting place in their
hearts , Hwy are the holy, happy memories
which can never be erased. The blow , that
tore her from them, was- one which nothing
but the consolation of the hope of re-union in a
brighter sphere, could have enabled them to
sustain. Her loss was also severely felt by the
whole neighborhood, as she was4toted for her
angelic ministrations at the_ conch pf disease
and 'suffering. Mar were the grateful and
sympathetic tears shed at her departure, on
October 4, 1843.
ldr. CAMP raised eleven children, en sons and
tire daughters., OM son is in the ministry,
and 4wo others' are office- beaters - in the church.
Six sous and three daughters survive to cherish
his Memory. Two daughters and wives. pre-.
ceded him to the spirit land. -
His ntimerima relatives and friends 'OR find
solace in the reflection that having been spend
to them qiiite beyond the ordinary term of he
;min life, death came to him at length, only as
the messenger of Him who said with tender
ness to his people; "Where I am, there may
yo Come sit)." It is our pleasure to remember
him with re ironer, not only on account of his
