the evidence before ine frilly demonstrates,
that the Merchants'i Union Express Com
pany is an institutiqn having vast, varied,
and useful relations; with the public. 'lt is
now in active and miccessfril operation over
the most populous drid commercial regions
of the United States; If the suppression of
thin Company could! be bro4t - within the
powers and duties df this Court no public
good, but great putific inconvenience and
loss, would be the result. The necessary
effect of such decis± Would', be to restore
permanently a m poly in a branch of
business of great an incre asing importance
in this country to m erchants and many.oth
