mmrmsaEmxma ffii&aBiBfSiiiiisi 10 THE PJTTSBTTRG, "DISPATCH, SUNDAY. OCT.OBER 2SV 1892. ALL NEEDS CAN BE EASILY SUPPLIED BY DISPATCH ADLETS. QHEAT SCAHCITY OP KAJH. The Woods Aro So Dry Tliat Hunters Can't Gk-t Near tho rheasants. Daring the long drouth the Pennsylvania road is seriously embarrassed for water in the rural districts. The tanks at Jeannette, liadibaugh, Irwin and the County Home are empty. It is necessary to run a water train daily to supply the Jeannette tank. The officials are alraid the dry spell will continue until the winter comes, when it will be impossible to cet water. There is a good supply in the mountains, but it is full of sulphur, and tracv tanks can't be laid without changing the grade of the road. Not only are the officials of railways com plaining about the scarcity of rain, but the plaint of the hunters is heard throughout the State about the same thing. Old nim rods say they never knew the woods and fields to be so dry. It is impossible on ac count of the crackling noise to creep within gunshot of pheasantsT The wily birds are on the alert, and instinct tells them that they are in great demand for dinners just now. At the slightest sound ot danger they are oulor a place of safety. The crop of quail promises to be large, and this.af lords the boys some comfort The woods oppear to be'full, and as soon as the days of grace fixed bv law have expired they will be in great demand.
