Allegheny Wholesalers Appear for License Renewals, and A COOTLE OF THEM .EEE KOASTED One flan W ill Probably Carry Oyer ?25,000 WorlL of Liquor. IESTEEDAI IN THE COUNTI COURTS There was considerable excitement at the Court House yesterday when it was an nounced that Adam Michael, of the Fourth ward, Allegheny, and H. J. Haller, of the Sixth ward of the same city, had been given their licenses, although they had originally been given out as refused. It was reported that Leon Long, one of the clerks of the License Court, had used his influence in one man's favor, bnt when seen he said: "There is nothing irregular about this proceeding. Tbe names were left out of the list by a clerical error, and as the mistake was discovered it was rectified." Judge "White was questioned on the same matter and replied: "It was simply a case of doing justice. In the hurry r Roing over the list they were overlooked. Our at tention was called to them, and we found them deserving and granted the licenses. It was not a rehearing." Judge Magee said: "I don't know much about the cases, but if Judge White said they had been overlooked through a mis take it was all right. I know big efforts have been made to have licenses granted, but I do not know whether it was on these particular cases." At the clerk's office they did not have the list as originally made out, and could not tell whether the names bad been on the first list handed down on April 13. Tt liolesalers Mast Close Up.
