Haberstroh, advised against it Haberstroh sald that Emerick had | submitted willingly to all questioning and examination and pointed out that the “lie detector” was not admissible in court as evi- dence, anyhow Wray reported of tracing down persons living in the vicinity of Emerick's apartment, who were sup- posed to have heard 18-year-old Mrs. Margaret Emerick scream about the time she plunged through thelr second-floor bedroom window to the ground, 16 feet below, and sald that all of them had denled hearing anything One man, wray revealed, heard the crash of glass in the Emerick apartment and later from his win- dow saw a man in shirt-sleeves emerge from the building's main en- trance and go to the spot where the victim's body fell.
